Camino de Vida is our main church, located in the heart of Managua, Nicaragua. We’ve been blessed to see incredible growth in a short period of time. Since starting in May of 2009, we’ve seen hundreds of kids and youth commit their lives to Christ! Through Camino de Vida, we’ve been able to offer leadership services, kids’ services, youth programs, and community development. It has been exciting to see what God has done in just a short period of time.
Niños de Vida (literally Children of Life) is the name of our Saturday morning kids’ program. It was the first thing established by One by One here in Nicaragua in May 2009, and it has since grown to include kids from several nearby neighborhoods as well as Nicaraguan youth and adults who volunteer to help lead. The best word to describe it is active! Through general playtime, songs, and lessons in which the kids participate, we aim to provide a safe, loving, and fun environment where children who learn in all different ways can develop as individuals, as leaders, and as followers of Christ.
Our mission statement for Niños de Vida is to "Connect kids to Christ"—in other words, to provide opportunities that facilitate children’s encountering Jesus personally and growing in a fruitful relationship with him. Saturday mornings are our times to interact with kids and guide them one step closer to God.
Unfortunately many churches in Nicaragua are very religious. This means that many youth are not welcome into their ministries because of their background, the way they dress, or because they do not behave well. However, we believe that God came for those who are sinners, and it is our desire to love the youth who are far from God. This may seem like a simple idea, but it has had a tremendous impact. Since starting in late 2009 our youth services have grown into a place where thieves, gangsters, street kids, and everyone in between can come and hear the gospel and be transformed.

One of our services
Meeting on Tuesday nights, our leadership services are designed to encourage and build up the volunteers and staff who serve with us through one of our many ministry outreaches and partnerships. This service started on September 20, 2011 and has seen immediate growth. It is awesome to see many people be encouraged to serve God on a daily basis. This is also the service where communion and baptisms are held.
